Journalmap figure 1The GLOBE project aims to bring local and regional studies together with global data to globalize our understanding of land use change.  A central challenge in this effort is to correctly portray the geographic location in space of published journal articles.

Jason Karl, one  of our friends at JournalMap has a nice blog p0st about the challenges of connecting published  journal articles with the location of the data they contain.

At GLOBE, our goal is to help researchers share their work in a global geographic context- and believe that the authors themselves are the best qualified to do this correctly.

Join GLOBE to map and share your case studies together with their global geographic context and see what you can do with studies shared by others.  Thinking globally is just a start.
