Use Data Sheets to connect a collection of case studies with global data and custom data of your choice.
- Compute values of global variables for all case studies in a collection. The result is a downloadable Excel file that will enable you to conduct statistical analyses of global patterns across your case studies, as part of a meta-study.
- Add pre-defined or custom data columns to case studies. This will enable you to store, manage and share values you have derived from each case study in a collection, such as the price of land or labor, as part of a meta-study.
Once you have selected (or created) a collection, the Data Sheets icon (“black sheet” icon in the illustration below), will be available- just click the icon to begin. Full instructions are in the Data Sheets tutorial.
Data Sheets make GLOBE a veritable one-stop shop for connecting local studies with global data on a range of social and biophysical variables!
- Use Data Sheets by clicking the black document icon in the Collection Actions tab in the Case Collection View.
- When exporting a data sheet into Excel, users can automatically add global variables to the exported collection of cases for rapid analysis of global variables.
